Friendly hotel staff. Was able to get a pint of beer at 7.00am. to read the first draft of my brothers book each morning. Very good town - bit of a hassle back and forward to the bus. Room can be a little warm in the summer and when you open the window the river can be a bit noisy but all in all a very good budget hotel in a great location. Otherwise, the reception was very friendly and helpful, especially in letting us know alternate places to park our car and the timings of the Aiguille du Midi cable car. Pour plusieurs, cela risque de peser. Un double vitrage serait opportun. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Breakfast was very unsatisfactory, not enough variety. In particular we found Desiree, Alex, Rob to be more than willing to provide us with everything we needed. I would certainly recommend this to my friends. However, there was just one quite major problem that spoilt it - and that was the loud music from the Pub downstairs. On the first night the music went on until 6.30am! I mentioned it to Reception the next day, but again, I was woken up several times that night until 3.30am. The lady on Recep was very apologetic and said it was her son and his friends and she'd speak to him, and for a couple of nights it was quiet; but on the last night I had to phone down at 4am again to ask for the music to be turned off (which it was). A bit of a shame, but everything else about the hotel was great (I didn't try the breakfast though, so can't comment on that).
